In a virtual network, network connections and routing are established and managed through software rather than physical hardware such as switches, routers, and cables. Virtual networks can be created and managed using virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM or through cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
